I've all the time been the type of guy that refused to wear sandals. Mainly because I'm fond of buying them at Kohl's or Target. The question when I buy sandals from these places is that they all the time chafe or rub my skin raw in random places. I resisted when my Gf told me I should buy a pair of Reefs. I figured they were just more costly sandals that I would wear for a week and then have buyers remorse. I bought a pair of Reef Fannings and I can indubitably say there wasn't a day that summer that I didn't wear them.
I extremely suggest Reefs to anyone that I know. On a boating trip I ended up losing one sandal. I was going to just buy the Fannings again until I did some reading and research. I was never a fan of the bottle opener of the Fannings. It's a novelty idea that after showing your buddies becomes pointless in my eyes. I decided on these and I can indubitably say they are exactly what I wanted in a pair of sandals. They are incredibly comfortable (wear them for like 3 days to break them in) and are a staple of my summer wardrobe. I love the lack of a bottle opener. It makes the sandals so much lighter and just feels like a accurate weight for sandals. I would suggest these hands down over the Fannings.
